AccuSubtitles (accusubtitles.com) is operated by Shirley Yi. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and who it's shared with. Questions or requests about your data can be sent to support@accusubtitles.com.

What's collected

Using the free tool with no account requires no personal information beyond what's necessary to run a job:

• Uploaded media and subtitles — the video, audio, or .srt file you submit, and the corrected/translated results.
• IP address — used only to enforce the daily free-usage limit and detect abuse. Not linked to your uploads beyond that.

If you sign in (only required to buy credits):

• Email address — from Google (if you sign in with Google) or the address you provide for an email sign-in link.
• Credit balance and purchase history — how many minutes you've bought and used.

Retention

Uploaded media and generated subtitle files are automatically and permanently deleted 7 days after a job is created. Account and credit-balance data is kept for as long as your account exists; email us to have it deleted.

Who it's shared with

Processing a job means parts of it necessarily pass through the services that do the work. Each only sees what it needs to do its job:

• AssemblyAI — transcribes uploaded media to text.
• OpenAI — corrects and translates transcript text. It never receives timestamps, file names, or any identifying information — only segment text.
• Stripe — processes credit purchases. Card details go directly to Stripe; this site never sees or stores them.
• Google — used only if you choose "Sign in with Google," to verify your identity.
• Resend — sends the sign-in email if you use an email link instead of Google.
• Cloudflare — hosts the site, storage, and database.

Your data is never sold, and never shared for advertising.

Cookies

A single functional cookie (session) is set only if you sign in, to keep you signed in between visits. It isn't used for tracking or advertising, and no third-party tracking cookies are set by this site.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data held about you, or have your account and its data deleted, at any time by emailing support@accusubtitles.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
